FTU Unbreakable tutorial




Supplies

Kit: The lovely FTU kit Goth This by A Taggers Scrap available here
Tube: Zombie Pin Up by Joahannah von Frankenstein available at Artistic Reality Talent
Texture: Broken Glass Textures here
Mask: WSL_Mask363 available here, or mask of choice
Font: Nina Script Demo or font of choice
Program of choice (this tutorial was written specifically for Photoshop users)

Don't forget to save frequently!

1. Open new image 600x600 px (Ctrl+N) at 72 ppi.

2. Open mesh, resize 90% copy and paste to canvas. Change color overlay to black. (Right-click layer and select "Blending Options").

3. Open frame3, resize %, copy and paste to canvas above previous layer.

4. Use Magic Wand Tool and select the inside of the frame.

5. Expand selection by 5px (Select->Modify->Expand). Create new layer and fill selection with white. Deselect selection (Ctrl+D)

6. Drag layer below frame layer.

7. Open paper5, resize to 600 x 600 px, copy and paste to canvas above square skew 1.  Create clipping mask. (Right-click layer and select "Create Clipping Mask".)

8. Open Broken Glass Texture 01.jpg, resize to 902 x 600 px, Copy and paste to canvas. Create clipping mask. Change blend mode to "Hard Light".

9. Open tube close-up, copy and paste to canvas. Create clipping mask. Change blend mode to "Overlay".

10. Open bow3, copy and paste to canvas above frame layer, position as shown.

11. On the right side, I placed these elements:

flower2, resized 75%, duplicated once
rose (erase stem below leaves), duplicated once and rotated
deco2, resized 75%
heart1, resized 75%
flower2, resized 75%, duplicated once
flower1, resized 60%, duplicated once
flower2, resized 60%



12. Open tube, copy and paste above previous layer.

13. Duplicate tube layer, change blend mode to "Soft Light".

14. Add name above all other layers. I used Nina Script Demo, size 80 (or 100 for shorter name) black, with 2px stroke #8e0e3d.

15. Add wordart.



16. Add drop shadow to all elements if desired.

17. Create new layer, flood fill #cf1255. Drag layer to bottom of layers.

18. Open Broken Glass Texture 01.jpg, resize to 902 x 600 px, Copy and paste to canvas above flood filled layer, reposition as desired. Change blend mode to "Hard Light". Merge layer down. (Right-click and select merge down).

19. Add mask of choice (I used WSL_Mask363) to layer {Press "Q" while on layer to enter quickmask selection, copy mask and paste, resize to fit canvas (Ctrl-T and then drag each side to edge of canvas, press enter to accept selection), Press "Q" again, then click on the button at the bottom of the layers that is a rectangle with a circle in the middle. Resize as desired and use eraser tool around edges.

20. Be sure to delete white background layer before saving.

21. Add your watermark, save as .png and you are finished!



*Note* I always save my tags as a .psd file in case I make mistakes and to offer to others.

PTU Devilish tutorial




Supplies


Kit: The awesome PTU kit Devilish by AmyMarie available at Artistic Reality Talent
Tube: 21-2 Devil Girl red by Martin Abel available at Creative Design Outlet
Mask: WSL_Mask363 available here, or mask of choice
Template: Template 159 available here
Font: Vtks Black or font of choice
Program of choice (this tutorial was written specifically for Photoshop users)

Don't forget to save frequently!

1. Open template, change image size to 550 x 550 px (Alt+Ctrl+I), then change canvas size to 600x600 px (Alt+Ctrl+C) at 72 ppi.

2. Delete info layer.

3. Open pp12, resize to 600 x 600 px, copy and paste to canvas above square skew 2. Create clipping mask. (Right-click layer and select "Create Clipping Mask".)

4. Open pp9, resize to 600 x 600 px, copy and paste to canvas above square skew 1. Create clipping mask.

5. Open pp6, resize to 600 x 600 px, copy and paste to canvas above circle layer. Create clipping mask.

6. Open pp8, resize to 600 x 600 px, copy and paste to canvas above rectangle solid layer. Create clipping mask.

7. Open pp2, resize to 600 x 600 px, copy and paste to canvas above rectangle fill layer. Create clipping mask.

8. Open pp3, resize to 600 x 600 px, copy and paste to canvas above rectangle frame layer. Create clipping mask.

9. Open pp010, resize to 600 x 600 px, copy and paste to canvas above circle frame fill layer. Create clipping mask.

10. Open tube, copy and paste above previous layer. Create clipping mask. Change blending mode to "Color Dodge".

11. Open pp3, resize to 600 x 600 px, copy and paste to canvas above circle frame layer. Create clipping mask.

12. On the right side, I placed these elements (below the duplicated tube layer):

MoonWGlow, resized 50%
deadtree
deadleaves, resized 80%
box, resized 50%
candles1, resized 80%
chalicerose, resized 50%
CLAWEDHEART, resized 30%
devilbird, resized 25%
e1, resized 25%
flower5, resized 25%

13. Open tube, copy and paste above previous layer.

14. Add name above all other layers. I used Vtks Black, size 125 black, with 2px stroke #9d0b08.

15. Add wordart.


16. Add drop shadow to all elements if desired.

17. Open pp021, resize 600 x 600 px, copy and paste to canvas.

18. Drag previous layer all the way to the bottom of layers. Add mask of choice (I used WSL_Mask363) to layer {Press "Q" while on layer to enter quickmask selection, copy mask and paste, resize to fit canvas (Ctrl-T and then drag each side to edge of canvas, press enter to accept selection), Press "Q" again, then click on the button at the bottom of the layers that is a rectangle with a circle in the middle. Resize as desired and use eraser tool around edges.

19. Be sure to delete white background layer before saving.

20. Add your watermark, save as .png and you are finished!

PTU Let Freedom Ring forum set tutorial





Supplies

Kit: The beautiful PTU kit Fun at the Beach by Amy Marie available at Artistic Reality Talent
Tube:  Made in USA by Ange 10 available at Artistic Reality Talent
Template: Forum Set Template 2 by Me! available here
Wordart: Let Freedom Ring from Patriotic Wordart set
Fonts: Freebooter Script or font of choice
Program of choice (this tutorial was written specifically for Photoshop users)


1. Open THD_ForumSetBanner template, change canvas size to 600 x 350 px (Alt+Ctrl+C).

2. Delete copyright layer.

3. Select remaining layers and move down until frames touch the bottom, your canvas should look like this:


4. Open pp1, resize to 600 x 600 px. Copy and paste to canvas above background layer. Create clipping mask. (Right-click layer and select "Create Clipping Mask".)

5. Open tube, resize as desired, copy and paste to canvas. Create clipping mask, change blend mode to "Overlay". Position on right side.

6. Duplicate layer (Ctrl+J). Move to left side.

7. Open A_LightHouse, resize 75%, copy and paste to canvas. Create clipping mask.

8. I placed these elements on the right side:

A_Fernleaves, resized 75%, duplicated once and flipped horizontally (Edit->Transform->Flip Horizontally)
A_Flower, resized 50%, rotated slightly
A_Starswand
A_LifeAnc, resized 50%
A_Flower, resized 50%
A_Firework2, resized 15%
A_crate, resized 40%
A_BeachBall, resized 40%

9. Merge above layers. Duplicate layer, flip horizontally and position on the left side. Select both layers and create clipping mask.



10. Add name. I used Freebooter Script 55 pt color #181941 with 3px stroke #e40404.

11. Duplicate name layer and change stroke to 1px white.

12. Open wordart, resize 275 x 36. Copy and paste to canvas. Open blending options (Right-click and select "Blending Options") Select color overlay and change color to #181941. Select stroke, 3px #e40404.

13. Duplicate wordart layer and change stroke to 1px white.

14. Merge two layers of wordart.

15. Open tube, resize as desired. Copy and paste to canvas. Position slightly to the left of the middle.

16. Duplicate tube layer and drag above all other layers. Use eraser around the bottom so that tube appears to come out of frame.

17. Duplicate wordart layer and drag above tube layer. Position at bottom of tube.

18. Above frame bg layer, create new layer (Ctrl+N) flood fill with color #181941. Create clipping mask.

18. Open pp010, resize to 600 x 600. Copy and paste to canvas above inner background layer. Create clipping mask.

19. Open pp011, resize to 600 x 600. Copy and paste to canvas above outer background layer. Create clipping mask.

20. Duplicate layer, change blend mode to "Color Dodge". Create clipping mask.

21. Add drop shadow to layers if desired.

22. Add your watermark, save as .png and you are finished with the banner!


Avi (very easy once banner is completed)

1. Open THD_ForumSetAvi Template.

2. Select the following layers above background layer in the banner: paper layer and one of the cluster layers. Merge layers. Copy and paste to Avi above background layer.

3. Resize to fit (Ctrl+T, lock aspect ratio and drag inwards at corner)



4. Select tube layer in the banner. Copy and paste to Avi canvas.

5. Make sure all above layers are below frame layers.

6. Copy layer above frame bg layer of banner, copy and paste above frame bg layer of avi. Create clipping mask.

6. Do the same for inner background layers.

7. Do the same for outer background layers.

8. Add initial, I used Freebooter Script 72 pt color #181941 with 3px stroke #e40404.

9. Duplicate initial layer and change stroke to 1px white.

10. Add your watermark, save as .png and you are finished with the avi!
