FTU Pretty Violet Thang Tutorial





Supplies

Kit: The gorgeous FTU kit Pretty Wild Thang by Karra's Kreative Korner
Tube: "Violet" by Tatjana Willms, available for purchase at Dreamscape Imaging, please do not use without a valid license
Mask: WSL_Mask350 from Weescotslass Creations
Font: Before the Rain font of choice
Program of choice (this tutorial was written specifically for Photoshop users)

Don't forget to save frequently!

1. Open new image (Ctrl +N), 600x600 px, resolution 72 pixels/inch.

2. Open paint2, copy and paste to canvas, position at bottom of canvas. Duplicate (Ctrl + J) and move to the top of the canvas.

3. Open glitter burst3. Copy and paste onto canvas, position in upper left of canvas. Duplicate (Ctrl + J) and move to bottom right of canvas.

4. Open frame2, resize 90% (Alt + Ctrl + I), copy and paste to canvas. Position slightly to the right.

5. Use Magic Wand Tool to select the inside of the left side of the frame. Expand selection (Select->Modify->Expand) by 5 pixels. Create new layer (Shift + Ctrl + N) and flood fill with white. Do the same for the right side of the frame. Drag both layers below the frame.

6. Open paper6, copy and paste above the first flood filled layer and create clipping mask.(Right-click and select "Create Clipping Mask"). Open tube of choice, copy and paste to canvas above paper layer and create clipping mask Change blend mode of tube layer to "Hard Light".

7. Same as step 6 for the second flood filled layer.

8. Open ribbon2, flip horizontal (Edit->Transform->Flip Horizontal), copy and paste above frame layer. Position over top left of frame.

9. Open bow3, resize 35%. Copy and paste to canvas. Move to top left of frame.

10. Open sparkles, position over right side of frame, duplicate (Ctrl + J) and position over left side of frame.

11. Open tube, resize as needed. Copy and paste to canvas, reposition as shown, duplicate (Ctrl + J) and set top layer's blend mode to "Linear Light", change opacity to 50%.

12. Open ribbon5, copy and paste to canvas. Position at bottom.

13. Open Ipod, resize 65%, copy and paste to canvas. Position on left side of canvas.

14. Open lipstick1, resize 75%, copy and paste to canvas. Position on left side of canvas.

15. Open flower4, resize 65%. Copy and paste to canvas. Move to lower left corner of tag. Duplicate 3 more times, and place in lower left corner.

16. Open flower5, resize 75%. Copy and paste to canvas. Move to left side of tag in the center of other flowers.

17. Open shoe2, resize 40%. Copy and paste to canvas. Flip horizontally (Edit->Transform->Flip Horizontal). Move to left side of tag.

18. Open lips 3, resize 75%, copy and paste to canvas. Move to left side of tag.

19. Open heart2, resize 50%, copy and paste to canvas. Move to upper right side of frame.

20. Add name to tag, I used Before the Rain size 30, color #e02ddb. Add stroke (2px black). Move to bottom of tag, over ribbon.

21. Add new layer, flood fill with #5a1377 and drag layer all the way to the bottom. Add mask (I used Mask 350 by Weescotslass Creations) to layer {Press "Q" while on layer to enter quickmask selection, copy mask and paste, resize to fit canvas (Ctrl-T and then drag each side to edge of canvas, press enter to accept selection), Press "Q" again, then click on the button at the bottom of the layers that is a rectangle with a circle in the middle. Resize if needed.

22. Add drop shadow to layer if you would like, add your copyright and watermark, save as .png and you are finished.


*Note* I always save my tags as a .psd file in case I make mistakes and to offer to others.

PTU Traces of My Lipstick Tut



Supplies

Kit: The beautiful PTU kit Traces of My Lipstick by Karra's Kreative Korner
Tube: "Smooches" by Jessica Dougherty, available for purchase at CDO, please do not use without a valid license
Font: Waters Gothic or font of choice
Program of choice (this tutorial was written specifically for Photoshop users)

Don't forget to save frequently!

1. Open template, resize to 650x650 px (Alt+Ctrl+I). Then change canvas size to 600x600 px (Alt+Ctrl+C). Select all layers and reposition so that everything is visible.

2. Open KKscatter, copy and paste above Raster 1 layer. Move to the left side. Duplicate (Ctrl + J) and flip horizontally (Edit->Transform->Flip Horizontally). Move to the right side.

3. Select Raster6 layer. Open KKpaper3. Copy and paste above selected layer, right-click and select "Create Clipping Mask". Open tube, copy and paste close-up and create clipping mask. Change blend mode of tube to "Hard Light". Do the same for Raster 6.

4. Delete Raster 7 layer. Open KKframe1, resize 55%. Copy and paste to canvas. Place over the top right circle. Duplicate and flip horizontally. Place over lower left circle.

5. Select Raster 9 layer. Copy and paste KKpaper8 and create clipping mask. Copy and paste close-up of tube again. Create clipping mask. Change blend mode of tube to hard light and change opacity to 50%.

6. Select Raster 10 layer. Create new layer (Shift+Ctrl+N), floodfill with black. Use filter "Add Noise", change to around 28% with uniform distribution.

7. Select Raster 4 layer. Copy and paste KKpaper9. Create clipping mask.

8. Select Raster 5 layer. Create new layer, then use "Add Noise" filter with same properties as before.

9. Open KKribbon1, resize 70%. Copy and paste to canvas. Move to cover middle of box.

10. Select Raster 11 layer. Open, copy and paste KKpaper1 to canvas. Create clipping mask.

11. Select Raster 12 layer. Create new layer, then use "Add Noise" filter with same properties as before.

12. Open KKsparkles, copy and paste to canvas.

13. Open KKbow, resize 50%. Copy and paste to canvas. Move to upper left of rectangle. Rotate slightly (Ctrl+T, then click and drag outside of box, then enter to accept).

14. Open KKleaves, resize 40%. Move to left side of tag. Duplicate and flip vertically (Edit->Transform->Flip Vertical). Reposition below other leaves.

15. Open KKwineglass1, resize 50%. Copy and paste to canvas. Move to left side of tag.

16. Open KKflower1, resize 35%. Copy and paste to canvas. Move to left side of tag.

17. Open KKlipstick1, resize 50%. Flip horizontally. Move to left side of tag.

18. Delete Rasters 2 and 3. Open KKkiss, resize 50 percent. Position to top right of tag. Duplicate. On bottom layer, add stroke 3 px black (Right click layer then choose "Blending Options"). Right-click this layer, then choose "Convert to smart object).Right click again and choose "Rasterize Layer". Use "Add noise" filter again with same settings as before.

19. Copy and paste close-up of tube again. Reposition and use Marquee tool (looks like a rectangle with dotted lines), select the bottom part of tube that is below the bottom rectangle and delete that selection. Deselect (Ctrl-D). Duplicate layer and set blend mode to "Hard Light".

20. Open KKflower1, resize 35%. Copy and paste to canvas. Move to bottom left side of tag.

21. Open KKflower3, resize 40%. Copy and paste to canvas. Move to left side of tag. Duplicate and reposition.

22. Open KKflower2, resize 40%. Copy and paste to canvas. Move to left side of tag.

23. Open KKshoes, resize 40%. Copy and paste to canvas. Move to right side of tag.

24. Delete Rasters 13 ,14 and 15. Open KKwordart, copy and paste to canvas. Move to bottom.

25. Add name to tag, I used Waters Gothic size 22. Add stroke (2px, color #c10031). Move to right side of tag.

26. Add new layer, flood fill with black and drag layer all the way to the bottom. Add mask (I used Mask 363 by Weescotslass Creations) to layer {Press "Q" while on layer to enter quickmask selection, copy mask and paste, resize to fit canvas (Ctrl-T and then drag each side to edge of canvas, press enter to accept selection), Press "Q" again, then click on the button at the bottom of the layers that is a rectangle with a circle in the middle. Resize if needed.

26. Add your watermark, save as .png and you are finished.


*Note* I always save my tags as a .psd file in case I make mistakes and to offer to others.

FTU Rain Everday Tut



Supplies

Kit: The gorgeous FTU kit Raindrops on My Heart by Karra's Kreative Korner
Tube: "Devil Girl Green" by Martin Abel, available for purchase at CDO, please do not use without a valid license
Mask: Mask 26 from Moonbeams & Spiderwebs
Fonts: Mandingo and Carlotta
Program of choice (this tutorial was written specifically for Photoshop users)

This is my first tutorial, hope I do well. I advise you to save frequently, nothing worse than being close to finishing and the program freezing up on you.

1. Open a new image (Ctrl+N) and 600 x 600 px with 72 dpi.

2. Open frame1, resize 70% (Alt+Ctrl+I). Copy and paste to canvas, rotate to desired postion (Ctrl+T then click outside of box and drag, when finished hit enter button to accept changes).

3. Use Magic Wand tool and select the inside of the frame. Expand selection by 5 pixels (Select -> Modify -> Expand). Create new layer (Shift+Ctrl+N). Fill selection with color (any color, does not matter as paper will cover this).

4. Deselect area (Ctrl+D) and drag layer below frame. Change opacity of layer to 75%

5. Copy desired paper (I used paper9) and paste between last layer and the frame layer. Right click and select "Create Clipping Mask".

6. Paste tube above paper and select "Create Clipping Mask" again. Change blend mode to Linear Burn.

7. Open sparkles, copy and paste to canvas, move to bottom.

8. Open glitter swirl, resize 50%. Copy and paste to canvas, move to the lower left. Duplicate layer (Ctrl+J) and flip (Edit -> Transform -> Flip Horizontal). Move the copied layer to the lower right.

9. Open glitter scroll, resize 50%. Copy and paste to canvas, rotate to desired position and move to lower left.

10. Open feather, resize 75%. Copy and paste to canvas, rotate and place on bottom right of frame. Duplicate layer and flip. Move the copied layer to the bottom right of the frame.

11. Open ribbon3, resize 75%. Copy and paste to canvas, rotate slightly and place at the bottom left of frame.

12. Open pearl, copy and paste to canvas. Move to middle of the bottom of the frame.

13. Open your tube, copy and paste to canvas. Move to the lower right of the frame.

14. Open bow 1, resize 75%. Copy and paste to canvas. Move to the lower left of the frame.

15. Open pearl, copy and paste to canvas. Move to lower left of the frame.

16. Open leaf, resize 60%. Copy and paste to canvas. Rotate and move to lower left of the frame.

17. Duplicate layer and flip. Rotate and move the copied layer to the bottom-middle of the frame.

18. Open flower2, resize 50%. Copy and paste to canvas. Move to lower left of frame.

19. Duplicate layer and move to bottom-middle of frame.

20. Open heart1, resize 50%. Copy and paste to canvas, move to lower left of frame.

21. Open flower3, resize 65%. Copy and paste to canvas, move to lower left.

22. Open type tool, use font of choice (I used Mandingo, 30pt, Sharp, black) and type "everyday". Add Stroke (right-click layer and choose blending options, click on "stroke" choose 2px and color #7ba229). Move to the lower left of frame.

23. Do the same for the name, I used opposite colors. Move to the upper left of frame.

24. Change font to handwritten font (I used Carlotta, 16pt, Strong, color #7ba229), type "It can't rain". Add Stroke and move above the word "everyday".

25. Add chosen paper for mask ( I used paper9) and drag layer all the way to the bottom. Add mask (I used Mask 26 by Moonbeams and SPiderwebs) to layer {Press "Q" while on layer to enter quickmask selection, copy mask and paste, resize to fit canvas (Ctrl-T and then drag each side to edge of canvas, press enter to accept selection), Press "Q" again, then click on the button at the bottom of the layers that is a rectangle with a circle in the middle.

26. Add your watermark, save as .png and you are finished.
