Photoshop tutorial 1
I decided to make some video tutorials to help people new to Photoshop learn to create tags. This first one shows some of the tools we will use and how to set up your workspace.

PTU Gods and Monsters tutorial
Supplies
Kit: The awesome PTU kit Sarcasm by Rissa's Designs available at Artistic Reality Talent
Tube: Bride of Frankenstein Pinup by Justin T. Coons available at Artistic Reality Talent
Mask: Vix_BigMask019 available here, or mask of choice
Template: Template 27 available here
Font: Helena Script or font of choice
Program of choice (this tutorial was written specifically for Photoshop users)
Don't forget to save frequently!
1. Open template, change image size to 72 ppi, 550w x 515h px (Alt+Ctrl+I), then change canvas size to 600x600 px (Alt+Ctrl+C) at 72 ppi.
2. Delete Raster 1 layer.
3. Open RDPP06, resize to 600 x 600 px, copy and paste to canvas above Raster 2 layer. Create clipping mask. (Right-click layer and select "Create Clipping Mask".)
4. Open tube, copy and paste to canvas above previous layer. Create clipping mask. Change blend mode of layer to "Darker Color".
5. Open RDPP01, resize to 600 x 600 px, copy and paste to canvas above Copy of Raster 2 layer. Create clipping mask.
6. Open tube again, copy and paste to canvas above previous layer. Create clipping mask. Change blend mode of layer to "Darker Color".
7. Open RDPP10, resize to 600 x 600 px, copy and paste to canvas above Copy (3) of Raster 2 layer. Create clipping mask.
8. Open tube again, copy and paste to canvas above previous layer. Create clipping mask. Flip layer horizontally (Edit->Transform->Flip Horizontal). Change blend mode of layer to "Darker Color".
9. Open RDPP05, resize to 600 x 600 px, copy and paste to canvas above Copy (2) of Raster 2 layer. Create clipping mask.
10. Open tube again, copy and paste to canvas above previous layer. Create clipping mask. Flip layer horizontally (Edit->Transform->Flip Horizontal). Change blend mode of layer to "Darker Color".
11. Open RDPP08, resize to 600 x 600 px, copy and paste to canvas above Raster 7 layer. Create clipping mask. Add Noise (Filter->Noise->Add Noise) 15% Monochromatic Gaussian.
12. Duplicate Noise layer and drag it above Raster 5. Create clipping mask
13. Do the same for Copy of Raster 5.
14. Open RDPP08, resize to 600 x 600 px, copy and paste to canvas above Raster 4 layer. Create clipping mask.
15. Open RDPP09, resize to 600 x 600 px, copy and paste to canvas above Copy of Raster 4 layer. Create clipping mask.
16. Duplicate layer, drag above Copy (2) of Raster 4 layer. Create clipping mask.
17. Open RDPP06, resize to 600 x 600 px, copy and paste to canvas above Raster 3 layer. Create clipping mask.
18. Open tube again, copy and paste to canvas above previous layer. Create clipping mask. Change blend mode of layer to "Darker Color".
19. Open RDPP08, resize to 600 x 600 px, copy and paste to canvas above Raster 6 layer. Create clipping mask. Add Noise (Filter->Noise->Add Noise) 15% Monochromatic Gaussian.
20. On the left side, I placed these elements:
RD18, resized 65%, duplicated once (duplicated layer, change blend mode to "Color Dodge")
Resize as desired:

21. Open tube, copy and paste above previous layer.
22. Duplicate tube layer. Change blend mode to "Overlay" at 50% Opacity.
23. Add name above all other layers. I used Helena Script, size 150 black, 2px f3f2f9 stroke, with Bevel & Emboss.
24. Add wordart.
25. Add drop shadow to all elements if desired.
26. Open RDPP09, resize 600 x 600 px, copy and paste to canvas.
27. Drag previous layer all the way to the bottom of layers. Add mask of choice (I used Vix_BigMask019) to layer {Press "Q" while on layer to enter quickmask selection, copy mask and paste, resize to fit canvas (Ctrl-T and then drag each side to edge of canvas, press enter to accept selection), Press "Q" again, then click on the button at the bottom of the layers that is a rectangle with a circle in the middle. Resize as desired and use eraser tool around edges.
28. Be sure to delete white background layer before saving.
29. Add your watermark, save as .png and you are finished!
*Note* I always save my tags as a .psd file in case I make mistakes and to offer to others.

FTU Unbreakable tutorial
Supplies

Mask: WSL_Mask363 available here, or mask of choice
Font: Nina Script Demo or font of choice

Don't forget to save frequently!
1. Open new image 600x600 px (Ctrl+N) at 72 ppi.
2. Open mesh, resize 90% copy and paste to canvas. Change color overlay to black. (Right-click layer and select "Blending Options").
3. Open frame3, resize %, copy and paste to canvas above previous layer.
4. Use Magic Wand Tool and select the inside of the frame.
5. Expand selection by 5px (Select->Modify->Expand). Create new layer and fill selection with white. Deselect selection (Ctrl+D)
6. Drag layer below frame layer.
7. Open paper5, resize to 600 x 600 px, copy and paste to canvas above square skew 1. Create clipping mask. (Right-click layer and select "Create Clipping Mask".)
8. Open Broken Glass Texture 01.jpg, resize to 902 x 600 px, Copy and paste to canvas. Create clipping mask. Change blend mode to "Hard Light".
9. Open tube close-up, copy and paste to canvas. Create clipping mask. Change blend mode to "Overlay".
10. Open bow3, copy and paste to canvas above frame layer, position as shown.
11. On the right side, I placed these elements:
flower2, resized 75%, duplicated once
rose (erase stem below leaves), duplicated once and rotated
deco2, resized 75%
heart1, resized 75%
flower2, resized 75%, duplicated once
flower1, resized 60%, duplicated once
flower2, resized 60%
12. Open tube, copy and paste above previous layer.
13. Duplicate tube layer, change blend mode to "Soft Light".
14. Add name above all other layers. I used Nina Script Demo, size 80 (or 100 for shorter name) black, with 2px stroke #8e0e3d.
15. Add wordart.
16. Add drop shadow to all elements if desired.
17. Create new layer, flood fill #cf1255. Drag layer to bottom of layers.
18. Open Broken Glass Texture 01.jpg, resize to 902 x 600 px, Copy and paste to canvas above flood filled layer, reposition as desired. Change blend mode to "Hard Light". Merge layer down. (Right-click and select merge down).
19. Add mask of choice (I used WSL_Mask363) to layer {Press "Q" while on layer to enter quickmask selection, copy mask and paste, resize to fit canvas (Ctrl-T and then drag each side to edge of canvas, press enter to accept selection), Press "Q" again, then click on the button at the bottom of the layers that is a rectangle with a circle in the middle. Resize as desired and use eraser tool around edges.
20. Be sure to delete white background layer before saving.
21. Add your watermark, save as .png and you are finished!
*Note* I always save my tags as a .psd file in case I make mistakes and to offer to others.

PTU Devilish tutorial

Program of choice (this tutorial was written specifically for Photoshop users)
Don't forget to save frequently!
1. Open template, change image size to 550 x 550 px (Alt+Ctrl+I), then change canvas size to 600x600 px (Alt+Ctrl+C) at 72 ppi.
2. Delete info layer.
3. Open pp12, resize to 600 x 600 px, copy and paste to canvas above square skew 2. Create clipping mask. (Right-click layer and select "Create Clipping Mask".)
4. Open pp9, resize to 600 x 600 px, copy and paste to canvas above square skew 1. Create clipping mask.
5. Open pp6, resize to 600 x 600 px, copy and paste to canvas above circle layer. Create clipping mask.
6. Open pp8, resize to 600 x 600 px, copy and paste to canvas above rectangle solid layer. Create clipping mask.
7. Open pp2, resize to 600 x 600 px, copy and paste to canvas above rectangle fill layer. Create clipping mask.
8. Open pp3, resize to 600 x 600 px, copy and paste to canvas above rectangle frame layer. Create clipping mask.
9. Open pp010, resize to 600 x 600 px, copy and paste to canvas above circle frame fill layer. Create clipping mask.
10. Open tube, copy and paste above previous layer. Create clipping mask. Change blending mode to "Color Dodge".
11. Open pp3, resize to 600 x 600 px, copy and paste to canvas above circle frame layer. Create clipping mask.
12. On the right side, I placed these elements (below the duplicated tube layer):
MoonWGlow, resized 50%
deadtree
deadleaves, resized 80%
box, resized 50%
candles1, resized 80%
chalicerose, resized 50%
CLAWEDHEART, resized 30%
devilbird, resized 25%
e1, resized 25%

13. Open tube, copy and paste above previous layer.
14. Add name above all other layers. I used Vtks Black, size 125 black, with 2px stroke #9d0b08.
15. Add wordart.
16. Add drop shadow to all elements if desired.
17. Open pp021, resize 600 x 600 px, copy and paste to canvas.
18. Drag previous layer all the way to the bottom of layers. Add mask of choice (I used WSL_Mask363) to layer {Press "Q" while on layer to enter quickmask selection, copy mask and paste, resize to fit canvas (Ctrl-T and then drag each side to edge of canvas, press enter to accept selection), Press "Q" again, then click on the button at the bottom of the layers that is a rectangle with a circle in the middle. PTU Let Freedom Ring forum set tutorial
Supplies

Program of choice (this tutorial was written specifically for Photoshop users)
1. Open THD_ForumSetBanner template, change canvas size to 600 x 350 px (Alt+Ctrl+C).
2. Delete copyright layer.
3. Select remaining layers and move down until frames touch the bottom, your canvas should look like this:
4. Open pp1, resize to 600 x 600 px. Copy and paste to canvas above background layer. Create clipping mask. (Right-click layer and select "Create Clipping Mask".)
5. Open tube, resize as desired, copy and paste to canvas. Create clipping mask, change blend mode to "Overlay". Position on right side.
6. Duplicate layer (Ctrl+J). Move to left side.
7. Open A_LightHouse, resize 75%, copy and paste to canvas. Create clipping mask.
8. I placed these elements on the right side:
A_Fernleaves, resized 75%, duplicated once and flipped horizontally (Edit->Transform->Flip Horizontally)
A_Flower, resized 50%, rotated slightly
A_Starswand
A_LifeAnc, resized 50%
A_Flower, resized 50%
A_Firework2, resized 15%
A_crate, resized 40%
A_BeachBall, resized 40%
9. Merge above layers. Duplicate layer, flip horizontally and position on the left side. Select both layers and create clipping mask.
10. Add name. I used Freebooter Script 55 pt color #181941 with 3px stroke #e40404.
11. Duplicate name layer and change stroke to 1px white.
12. Open wordart, resize 275 x 36. Copy and paste to canvas. Open blending options (Right-click and select "Blending Options") Select color overlay and change color to #181941. Select stroke, 3px #e40404.
13. Duplicate wordart layer and change stroke to 1px white.
14. Merge two layers of wordart.
15. Open tube, resize as desired. Copy and paste to canvas. Position slightly to the left of the middle.
16. Duplicate tube layer and drag above all other layers. Use eraser around the bottom so that tube appears to come out of frame.
17. Duplicate wordart layer and drag above tube layer. Position at bottom of tube.
18. Above frame bg layer, create new layer (Ctrl+N) flood fill with color #181941. Create clipping mask.
18. Open pp010, resize to 600 x 600. Copy and paste to canvas above inner background layer. Create clipping mask.
19. Open pp011, resize to 600 x 600. Copy and paste to canvas above outer background layer. Create clipping mask.
20. Duplicate layer, change blend mode to "Color Dodge". Create clipping mask.
21. Add drop shadow to layers if desired.
22. Add your watermark, save as .png and you are finished with the banner!
Avi (very easy once banner is completed)
1. Open THD_ForumSetAvi Template.
2. Select the following layers above background layer in the banner: paper layer and one of the cluster layers. Merge layers. Copy and paste to Avi above background layer.
3. Resize to fit (Ctrl+T, lock aspect ratio and drag inwards at corner)
4. Select tube layer in the banner. Copy and paste to Avi canvas.
5. Make sure all above layers are below frame layers.
6. Copy layer above frame bg layer of banner, copy and paste above frame bg layer of avi. Create clipping mask.
6. Do the same for inner background layers.
7. Do the same for outer background layers.
8. Add initial, I used Freebooter Script 72 pt color #181941 with 3px stroke #e40404.
9. Duplicate initial layer and change stroke to 1px white.
10. Add your watermark, save as .png and you are finished with the avi!

PTU Summer tutorial

1. Open template, change image size to 550 x 471 px (Alt+Ctrl+I), then change canvas size to 600x600 px (Alt+Ctrl+C).
2. Delete copyright layer.
3. Open sun, resize 50% copy and paste above background layer. Position in the upper left.
4. Open BU_PalmTree, resize 50% copy and paste above previous layer. Position on the upper left.
5. Open sandAM12, copy and paste above previous layer, flip vertically (Edit->Transform->Flip Vertical). Position on the bottom.
6. Open pp7, resize to 600 x 600 px, copy and paste to canvas above back rectangle layer. Create clipping mask. (Right-click layer and select "Create Clipping Mask".)
7. Open pp4, resize to 600 x 600 px, copy and paste to canvas above small oval left layer. Create clipping mask.
8. Open pp4, resize to 600 x 600 px, copy and paste to canvas above small oval right layer. Create clipping mask.
9. Open pp3, resize to 600 x 600 px, copy and paste to canvas above top rectangle layer. Create clipping mask.

11. Open pp022, resize to 600 x 600 px, copy and paste to canvas above top rectangle layer. Create clipping mask.
12. Create new layer above dotted rectangle layer, flood fill black, then create clipping mask.
13. Create new layer above swirl layer, flood fill #ff1ec1, then create clipping mask.
14. Create new layer above doodle layer, flood fill black, then create clipping mask.
15. Create new layer above large oval layer, flood fill #8b0546, then create clipping mask.
16. Create new layer above tiny wordart layer, flood fill black, then create clipping mask.
17. Open pp012, resize to 600 x 600 px, copy and paste to canvas above top rectangle layer. Create clipping mask. Should look like this so far:
18. Open tube, copy and paste above previous layer. Resize as desired. Create clipping mask.
19. Duplicate tube layer, do not create clipping mask with this one. Use your eraser tool to erase any part of the tube that hangs over the bottom.
20. On the right side, I placed these elements (below the duplicated tube layer):

Resize as desired and use eraser tool around edges.

1. Open template, change canvas size to 600x600 px (Alt+Ctrl+C).
2. Delete copyright layer.
3. Open Web-GI_DOTN, copy and paste above background layer.
4. Open Paper2Purple-GI_DOTN, resize to 600 x 600 px, copy and paste to canvas above frame layer. Create clipping mask. (Right-click layer and select "Create Clipping Mask".)
5. Open Paper3Purple-GI_DOTN, resize to 600 x 600 px, copy and paste to canvas above bottom rectangle layer. Create clipping mask.
6. Open Paper1Purple-GI_DOTN, resize to 600 x 600 px, copy and paste to canvas above top rectangle layer. Create clipping mask.
7. Open tube, copy and paste above previous layer. Change blend mode to Overlay. Resize as desired. Create clipping mask.
8. On the right side, I placed these elements:

Leaves-GI_DOTN, resized 50%, duplicated once

9. Merge layers in step 8, duplicate and flip horizontally, move to left side, rotate slightly.

10. Open MoonHalfCluster-GI_DOTN, resize 25%, copy and paste to canvas, position in the upper right.
11. Copy and paste tube again, above top line layer. Resize as desired.
12. Add wordart provided here:
13. Add name. I used Sverige Script Decorated, size 50 #833d7f, with 2px stroke black.
14. Add drop shadow to all elements if desired.
15. Open Paper4Purple-GI_DOTN, resize 600 x 600 px, copy and paste to canvas.
16. Drag previous layer all the way to the bottom of layers. Add mask of choice (I used TBT_MCMask4) to layer {Press "Q" while on layer to enter quickmask selection, copy mask and paste, resize to fit canvas (Ctrl-T and then drag each side to edge of canvas, press enter to accept selection), Press "Q" again, then click on the button at the bottom of the layers that is a rectangle with a circle in the middle. Resize as desired.

PTU Summertime tutorial
Supplies

Don't forget to save frequently!
1. Open template, change resolution to 72 ppi and resize to 475 x 475 px (Alt+Ctrl+I). Change canvas size to 600 x 600 px (Alt+Ctrl+C).
2. Delete the credits, sun and all flower layers.
3. Open KK_net, resize 75%, copy and paste to canvas above white background layer. Position on the right side.
4. Open KK_sand, copy and paste to canvas above previous layer. Position at the bottom of canvas.
5. Open KK_sun, resize 50%, copy and paste to canvas above previous layer. Position in the top left.
6. Delete lg.light gray circle, shadow, circle 2bg, circle 2, shadow and circle 1 bg layers. (everything from previous layer up to circle 1 layer.
7. Open kkpaper4, copy and paste to canvas above circle 1 layer. Create clipping mask (right-click layer and select "Create Clipping Mask").
8. Open KK_tall grass, resize 50%, copy and paste to canvas above previous layer. Position in the top left.
9. Open KK_frame1, resize 75%, copy and paste to canvas above previous layer. Position over circle.
10. Open KK_fern, resize 75%, copy and paste to canvas above previous layer. Position on right side.
11. Open kkpaper7, copy and paste to canvas above raster 1 layer. Create clipping mask (right-click layer and select "Create Clipping Mask").
12. Paste tube close-up above previous layer, reposition and resize as desired. Create clipping mask. Change blending mode to "Pin Light".
13. Delete shadow, frame bg and frame layers.
14. Open KK_frame4, resize 60%, copy and paste to canvas above previous layer. Position on right side and rotate to cover Raster 1 layer.
15. On the left side, I placed these elements:
KK_palm tree1, resized 75%
KK_tiki table, resized 50%
KK_cocktail, resized 15%
16. On the right side, I placed these elements:
KK_flower branch, resized 50%
KK_hibiscus2, resized 35%
KK_hibiscus1, resized 30%
KK_flower1, resized 15%
KK_flower4, resized 25%
KK_grapes, resized 25%
KK_pineapple, resized 25%
KK_coconut, resized 20%
17. Open KK_sparkles, resize 75%, flip image horizontally. Copy and paste to canvas, reposition as desired.
18. Select all the layers of the wordart and reposition as shown.
19. Paste full version of desired tube to canvas above Sparkles layer. Resized and position as desired.
20. Open kkpaper1, copy and paste to canvas above Summer layer. Create clipping mask.
21. Open kkpaper11, copy and paste to canvas above Time layer. Create clipping mask.
22. Add name. I used Helena Script ES 125 pt (may need to be smaller depending on length of name) #fef441 with 2px stroke #66d7ee.
23. Add drop shadow to layers if desired.
24. Open kkpaper1, copy and paste to canvas.
25. Drag previous layer all the way to the bottom. Add mask (I used ddspar10 by Sharon) to layer {Press "Q" while on layer to enter quickmask selection, copy mask and paste, resize to fit canvas (Ctrl-T and then drag each side to edge of canvas, press enter to accept selection), Press "Q" again, then click on the button at the bottom of the layers that is a rectangle with a circle in the middle. Resize as desired.
26. Be sure to delete background layer before saving.
27. Add your watermark, save as .png and you are finished!

1. Open new image 600 x 600 px.
2. Open DBV Alice in Wonderland element (14), resize 90%. Copy and paste to canvas. Reposition on the right side.
3. Duplicate layer and change blend mode to "Linear Burn".
4. Open DBV_TheWitchesDen_element (52) copy and paste to canvas.
5. Open DBV_TheWitchesDen_element (16), resize 50%. Copy and paste to canvas. Reposition on the right side.

15. Duplicate layer, change blend mode to "Linear Burn" 75% Opacity. Merge layer down.
16. Duplicate layer, position on the right side.
17. Open DBV Alice in Wonderland element (25), resize 75%. Copy and paste to canvas. Position in the middle.
18. Using you Magic Wand tool, click inside the keyhole. Create a new layer and fill the selection with any color.
19. Open DBV Alice in Wonderland paper, resize to 600 x 600 (Alt+Ctrl+I). Copy and paste to canvas above previous layer. Create clipping mask. Merge layer down.
20. Open tube, Resize as desired (I resized the full version 40%). Copy and paste to canvas above previous layer. Create clipping mask. Flip horizontally. Change blend mode to "Linear Light".
21. Open DBV_TheWitchesDen_element (35), copy and paste to canvas. Place on left side.
22. Duplicate layer, then position on the right side.
23. Use eraser tool to clean up around the edges.
24. Open DBV Alice in Wonderland element (24), resize 50%. Copy and paste to canvas. Position on the bottom right.
25. Open DBV Alice in Wonderland element (15), resize 50%. Copy and paste to canvas. Position on the bottom right.
26. Open DBV Alice in Wonderland element (29), resize 75%. Copy and paste to canvas. Position on the bottom right.
27. Open tube and resize 75%. Copy and paste to canvas above all other layers.

Resize as desired.

1. Open template, change image size to 550 x 403 px (Alt+Ctrl+I). Change canvas size to 600x600 px (Alt+Ctrl+C).
2. Delete Raster 8 layer.
3. Open WH-Moon#2, resize 33%. Copy and paste above Background layer.
4. Select all layers except L Square and R Square. Move down until template looks like this (Click to see original size!):
5. Open WH-Fog, resize 75%. Copy and paste to canvas above Moon layer. Position near the top of the canvas.
6. Open WH-Rusted Mesh, copy and paste to canvas above previous layer. Rotate 90 degrees to the right (Edit->Transform->Rotate 90-degrees CW). Reposition as desired.
7. Open WH-Paper#3, resize to 600 x 600 px. Copy and paste to canvas above Rectangle layer. Create clipping mask. (Right-click layer and select "Create Clipping Mask".)
8. Open WH-Paper#11, resize to 600 x 600 px. Copy and paste to canvas above R Square layer. Create clipping mask.
9. Duplicate layer (Ctrl-J), drag layer above L Square layer. Create clipping mask.
10. Open tube, copy and paste above previous layer. Position as desired. Create clipping mask. Change blending modes to "Overlay".
11. Open WH-Frame #3, resize 40%. Copy and paste to canvas above previous layer. Rotate and postion above left square.

14. Open WH-Frame #4, resize 43%. Copy and paste to canvas above previous layer. Position over circle layer.

25. Add name. I used Docteur Atomic font in black, 100pt, with 2px stroke #14b00a blend mode (of stroke) "Hard Light".
26. Add drop shadow to layers if desired.
27. Open WH-Paper#6, resize to 600 x 600 px. Copy and paste to canvas.
28. Drag previous layer all the way to the bottom. Add mask (I used Mask yezmask067 by Yez) to layer {Press "Q" while on layer to enter quickmask selection, copy mask and paste, resize to fit canvas (Ctrl-T and then drag each side to edge of canvas, press enter to accept selection), Press "Q" again, then click on the button at the bottom of the layers that is a rectangle with a circle in the middle. 1. Open template, change image size to 550x550 px (Alt+Ctrl+I). Change canvas size to 600x600 px (Alt+Ctrl+C).
2. Delete the following 6 layers:

3. Remove layer fx from remaining layers (drag effects to trash bin icon at bottom of layers.)

5. Open KKpaper11, copy and paste to canvas above frame layer. Create clipping mask. (Right-click layer and select "Create Clipping Mask".)
6. Open KKpaper2, copy and paste to canvas above rectangle layer. Create clipping mask.
7. Open KK_netting, copy and paste above previous layer. (I added drop shadow to mine while I was working so it was visible).
8. Open KKpaper7, copy and paste to canvas above large square layer. Create clipping mask.
9. Delete the frame layer that is below the large square layer.
10. Open KK_frame1, resize 75%. Copy and paste above previous layers. Rotate slightly counter-clockwise and position so that it covers large square layer.
12. Delete the frame layer below the circle layer.
13, Open KKpaper12, copy and paste to canvas above circle layer. Create clipping mask.
14. Open KK_frame3, resize 50%. Copy and paste above previous layer. Position so that it frames the circle layer.
15. Open KKpaper11, copy and paste to canvas above frame layer (below small square layer). Create clipping mask.
16. Open tube (I used orange and black layers since the orange is close to the colors of the kit), change blend mode to "Hard Light", then create clipping mask.
17. Open KKpaper2, copy and paste to canvas above small square layer. Create clipping mask.
18. Copy and paste tube again above previous layer. Resize as desired. Erase any part of the tube that hangs below the template.
19. Duplicate layer. Change blending mode of duplicated layer to "Screen" with 60% Opacity.
20. On the left side, I placed these elements:
KK_ribbon3, resized 50% duplicated once and placed around the left side and bottom of green frame
KK_leaf1, resized 50%, duplicated once
KK_heart flower, resized 50%
KK_leaf2, resized 40%, duplicated once

1. Open template, change resolution to 72 pixels/inch and then image size to 550x516 px (Alt+Ctrl+I). Change canvas size to 600x600 px (Alt+Ctrl+C).
2. Open WP_EAA_BLOODSPLATTER, copy and paste above Raster 1 layer. Duplicate (Ctrl +J) 3 times and position in corners.
3. Open WP_EAA_FENCING, resize 70%. Copy and paste above previous layers. Position in the center.
4. Leave Raster 9 and its copy as is.
5. Open WP_EAA_PP10, resize to 600 x 600 px. Copy and paste to canvas above Raster 2. Add noise (Filter->Noise->Add Noise), 30%, Gaussian Distribution, Monochromatic. Create clipping mask. (Right-click layer and select "Create Clipping Mask".)
6. Duplicate layer twice and drag one above Raster 5 and one above Raster 8. Create clipping mask both times.
7. Open WP_EAA_PP11, resize to 600 x 600 px. Copy and paste to canvas above Raster 3. Create clipping mask.
8. Open WP_EAA_TREE, resize 90% Copy and paste to canvas above previous layer. Position on the left side of template. Create clipping mask.
9. Duplicate previous layer and drag layer to the top of the template. Use your eraser tool to erase bottom of tree so it appears to come out of the template.
10. Leave Raster 4 as is.
11. Open WP_EAA_PP2, resize to 600 x 600 px. Copy and paste to canvas above Raster 6. Create clipping mask.
12. Open WP_EAA_PP4, resize to 600 x 600 px. Copy and paste to canvas above Raster 10. Create clipping mask.
13. Open tube, copy and paste above previous layer. Duplicate layer. Create clipping mask for both layers. Change blending modes to "Soft Light". Position on opposite sides as desired.
14. Leave Copy of Raster 10 alone.
15. Open WP_EAA_PP1, resize to 600 x 600 px. Copy and paste to canvas above Raster 7. Create clipping mask.
16. WP_EAA_CEMETARY, copy and paste to canvas above previous layer. Duplicate layer and change blending mode to "Overlay". Create clipping mask with both layers.
17. Open tube, copy and paste to canvas above previous layer, reposition as desired. Duplicate layer. Change original layer's opacity to 20% and then change blend mode of the copy to "Vivid Light". Create clipping mask with both layers.
18. On the right side, I placed these elements:

1. Open template, change image size to 550x550 px (Alt+Ctrl+I). Change canvas size to 600x600 px (Alt+Ctrl+C).
2. Delete info and layer.
3. Open KK_star scatter, copy and paste above BG layer. Position in the upper left. Duplicate (Ctrl +J) and position in the bottom right.
4. Open KK_wire fence, copy and paste above previous layers.
5. Open KKpaper7, copy and paste to canvas above Dark Star Mask. Create clipping mask (right click on paper layer and select "Create Clipping Mask".)
6. Open KKpaper4, copy and paste to canvas above Light Star Mask. Create clipping mask.
7. Open KKpaper10, copy and paste to canvas above Back Bracket. Create clipping mask.
8. Open KKpaper8, copy and paste to canvas above Swag Stars. Create clipping mask.
9. Right click layer and select "Merge Down". Right-click again and select "Blending Options". Check the "Bevel and Emboss" box.
10. Open KKpaper6, copy and paste to canvas above Front Bracket. Create clipping mask.
11. Open KK_skyline, resize 75% and copy and paste to canvas. Create clipping mask.
12. Open tube of choice, resize as desired and copy and paste to canvas. Change blend mode to "Darken" and reposition to the right side of the Bracket. Create clipping mask.
13. Select all of the top 4 layers (the ones we haven't done yet) and reposition further down on the canvas as shown below.
14. Open KKpaper10, copy and paste to canvas above Big Rectangle. Create clipping mask.
15. Open KKpaper2, copy and paste to canvas above Small Rectangle. Create clipping mask.
16. Open tube of choice, resize as desired. Copy and paste to canvas. Duplicate layer and change blend mode to "Overlay". Select both layers and create clipping mask.
17. Duplicate both layers and erase the bottom of the tube on both layers so that it appears to come out of the rectangle.
18. Leave dots layer as is.
19. Open KKpaper4, copy and paste to canvas above lft Star. Create clipping mask. Reposition slightly down and to the right
20. Place the following elements on the left side of the template as shown in this order:
KK_skull resized 35%
KK_music notes
KK_amp resized 50%
KK_speaker resized 50% (flipped horizontally)
KK_ticket stub resized 25%, duplicated once and rotated slightly (Ctrl+T, then drag outside of box in a clockwise motion.)
KK_guitar resized 50%
KK_sneaker resized 25%
21. Delete rt Star layer.
22. Open wordart. Resize 75%. Copy and paste to canvas, reposition at the bottom of the template. Right-click and select "Blending Options". Check Outer Glow and change color to #c00400.
23. Merge layer down. Use filter Eye Candy Carve with default settings.
24. Adjust hue/saturation to match color of tag. I used Hue: +49, Saturation +100, Lightness -37. Create Clipping Mask so that only wordart is changed.
25. Add name. I used Feathergraphy Decoration font 100 pt red to match tag and stroke 2 black. Use filter Eye Candy Carve again.
26. Add drop shadow to all layers except tube layers.
27. Add new layer, flood fill with black and drag layer all the way to the bottom. Add mask (I used Mask MakeAMaskRock2MF01Slow2010 by Sabine) to layer {Press "Q" while on layer to enter quickmask selection, copy mask and paste, resize to fit canvas (Ctrl-T and then drag each side to edge of canvas, press enter to accept selection), Press "Q" again, then click on the button at the bottom of the layers that is a rectangle with a circle in the middle. Resize if needed.

FTU Pretty Violet Thang Tutorial

Mask: WSL_Mask350 from Weescotslass Creations

Program of choice (this tutorial was written specifically for Photoshop users)
Don't forget to save frequently!
1. Open new image (Ctrl +N), 600x600 px, resolution 72 pixels/inch.
2. Open paint2, copy and paste to canvas, position at bottom of canvas. Duplicate (Ctrl + J) and move to the top of the canvas.
3. Open glitter burst3. Copy and paste onto canvas, position in upper left of canvas. Duplicate (Ctrl + J) and move to bottom right of canvas.
4. Open frame2, resize 90% (Alt + Ctrl + I), copy and paste to canvas. Position slightly to the right.
5. Use Magic Wand Tool to select the inside of the left side of the frame. Expand selection (Select->Modify->Expand) by 5 pixels. Create new layer (Shift + Ctrl + N) and flood fill with white. Do the same for the right side of the frame. Drag both layers below the frame.
6. Open paper6, copy and paste above the first flood filled layer and create clipping mask.(Right-click and select "Create Clipping Mask"). Open tube of choice, copy and paste to canvas above paper layer and create clipping mask Change blend mode of tube layer to "Hard Light".
7. Same as step 6 for the second flood filled layer.
8. Open ribbon2, flip horizontal (Edit->Transform->Flip Horizontal), copy and paste above frame layer. Position over top left of frame.
9. Open bow3, resize 35%. Copy and paste to canvas. Move to top left of frame.
10. Open sparkles, position over right side of frame, duplicate (Ctrl + J) and position over left side of frame.
11. Open tube, resize as needed. Copy and paste to canvas, reposition as shown, duplicate (Ctrl + J) and set top layer's blend mode to "Linear Light", change opacity to 50%.
12. Open ribbon5, copy and paste to canvas. Position at bottom.
13. Open Ipod, resize 65%, copy and paste to canvas. Position on left side of canvas.
14. Open lipstick1, resize 75%, copy and paste to canvas. Position on left side of canvas.
15. Open flower4, resize 65%. Copy and paste to canvas. Move to lower left corner of tag. Duplicate 3 more times, and place in lower left corner.
16. Open flower5, resize 75%. Copy and paste to canvas. Move to left side of tag in the center of other flowers.
17. Open shoe2, resize 40%. Copy and paste to canvas. Flip horizontally (Edit->Transform->Flip Horizontal). Move to left side of tag.
18. Open lips 3, resize 75%, copy and paste to canvas. Move to left side of tag.
19. Open heart2, resize 50%, copy and paste to canvas. Move to upper right side of frame.
20. Add name to tag, I used Before the Rain size 30, color #e02ddb. Add stroke (2px black). Move to bottom of tag, over ribbon.
21. Add new layer, flood fill with #5a1377 and drag layer all the way to the bottom. Add mask (I used Mask 350 by Weescotslass Creations) to layer {Press "Q" while on layer to enter quickmask selection, copy mask and paste, resize to fit canvas (Ctrl-T and then drag each side to edge of canvas, press enter to accept selection), Press "Q" again, then click on the button at the bottom of the layers that is a rectangle with a circle in the middle. Resize if needed.
22. Add drop shadow to layer if you would like, add your copyright and watermark, save as .png and you are finished.
*Note* I always save my tags as a .psd file in case I make mistakes and to offer to others.
