Supplies
Kit: The gorgeous FTU kit Raindrops on My Heart by Karra's Kreative Korner
Tube: "Devil Girl Green" by Martin Abel, available for purchase at CDO, please do not use without a valid license
Mask: Mask 26 from Moonbeams & Spiderwebs
Program of choice (this tutorial was written specifically for Photoshop users)
This is my first tutorial, hope I do well. I advise you to save frequently, nothing worse than being close to finishing and the program freezing up on you.
1. Open a new image (Ctrl+N) and 600 x 600 px with 72 dpi.
2. Open frame1, resize 70% (Alt+Ctrl+I). Copy and paste to canvas, rotate to desired postion (Ctrl+T then click outside of box and drag, when finished hit enter button to accept changes).
3. Use Magic Wand tool and select the inside of the frame. Expand selection by 5 pixels (Select -> Modify -> Expand). Create new layer (Shift+Ctrl+N). Fill selection with color (any color, does not matter as paper will cover this).
4. Deselect area (Ctrl+D) and drag layer below frame. Change opacity of layer to 75%
5. Copy desired paper (I used paper9) and paste between last layer and the frame layer. Right click and select "Create Clipping Mask".
6. Paste tube above paper and select "Create Clipping Mask" again. Change blend mode to Linear Burn.
7. Open sparkles, copy and paste to canvas, move to bottom.
8. Open glitter swirl, resize 50%. Copy and paste to canvas, move to the lower left. Duplicate layer (Ctrl+J) and flip (Edit -> Transform -> Flip Horizontal). Move the copied layer to the lower right.
9. Open glitter scroll, resize 50%. Copy and paste to canvas, rotate to desired position and move to lower left.
10. Open feather, resize 75%. Copy and paste to canvas, rotate and place on bottom right of frame. Duplicate layer and flip. Move the copied layer to the bottom right of the frame.
11. Open ribbon3, resize 75%. Copy and paste to canvas, rotate slightly and place at the bottom left of frame.
12. Open pearl, copy and paste to canvas. Move to middle of the bottom of the frame.
13. Open your tube, copy and paste to canvas. Move to the lower right of the frame.
14. Open bow 1, resize 75%. Copy and paste to canvas. Move to the lower left of the frame.
15. Open pearl, copy and paste to canvas. Move to lower left of the frame.
16. Open leaf, resize 60%. Copy and paste to canvas. Rotate and move to lower left of the frame.
17. Duplicate layer and flip. Rotate and move the copied layer to the bottom-middle of the frame.
18. Open flower2, resize 50%. Copy and paste to canvas. Move to lower left of frame.
19. Duplicate layer and move to bottom-middle of frame.
20. Open heart1, resize 50%. Copy and paste to canvas, move to lower left of frame.
21. Open flower3, resize 65%. Copy and paste to canvas, move to lower left.
22. Open type tool, use font of choice (I used Mandingo, 30pt, Sharp, black) and type "everyday". Add Stroke (right-click layer and choose blending options, click on "stroke" choose 2px and color #7ba229). Move to the lower left of frame.
23. Do the same for the name, I used opposite colors. Move to the upper left of frame.
24. Change font to handwritten font (I used Carlotta, 16pt, Strong, color #7ba229), type "It can't rain". Add Stroke and move above the word "everyday".
25. Add chosen paper for mask ( I used paper9) and drag layer all the way to the bottom. Add mask (I used Mask 26 by Moonbeams and SPiderwebs) to layer {Press "Q" while on layer to enter quickmask selection, copy mask and paste, resize to fit canvas (Ctrl-T and then drag each side to edge of canvas, press enter to accept selection), Press "Q" again, then click on the button at the bottom of the layers that is a rectangle with a circle in the middle.
26. Add your watermark, save as .png and you are finished.
*Note* I always save my tags as a .psd file in case I make mistakes and to offer to others.
:) Hope this was easy enough to understand and follow. Any questions or comments are welcome!
Jane
