PTU Summer tutorial
Supplies
Kit: The pretty PTU kit Bottoms Up by Amy Marie available at Artistic Reality Talent
Tube: Sweetheart Adeline by Zlata M available at Pics For Design
Mask: EMB_Mask2_ByElla available at Creative Misfits Creations here, or mask of choice
Template: Collab Tempz1 Temp3_Dwana_Stef available here:
Font: Sverige Script Decorated or font of choice
Program of choice (this tutorial was written specifically for Photoshop users)
Don't forget to save frequently!
1. Open template, change image size to 550 x 471 px (Alt+Ctrl+I), then change canvas size to 600x600 px (Alt+Ctrl+C).
2. Delete copyright layer.
3. Open sun, resize 50% copy and paste above background layer. Position in the upper left.
4. Open BU_PalmTree, resize 50% copy and paste above previous layer. Position on the upper left.
5. Open sandAM12, copy and paste above previous layer, flip vertically (Edit->Transform->Flip Vertical). Position on the bottom.
6. Open pp7, resize to 600 x 600 px, copy and paste to canvas above back rectangle layer. Create clipping mask. (Right-click layer and select "Create Clipping Mask".)
7. Open pp4, resize to 600 x 600 px, copy and paste to canvas above small oval left layer. Create clipping mask.
8. Open pp4, resize to 600 x 600 px, copy and paste to canvas above small oval right layer. Create clipping mask.
9. Open pp3, resize to 600 x 600 px, copy and paste to canvas above top rectangle layer. Create clipping mask.
10. Open pp3, resize to 600 x 600 px, copy and paste to canvas above top rectangle layer. Create clipping mask.
11. Open pp022, resize to 600 x 600 px, copy and paste to canvas above top rectangle layer. Create clipping mask.
12. Create new layer above dotted rectangle layer, flood fill black, then create clipping mask.
13. Create new layer above swirl layer, flood fill #ff1ec1, then create clipping mask.
14. Create new layer above doodle layer, flood fill black, then create clipping mask.
15. Create new layer above large oval layer, flood fill #8b0546, then create clipping mask.
16. Create new layer above tiny wordart layer, flood fill black, then create clipping mask.
17. Open pp012, resize to 600 x 600 px, copy and paste to canvas above top rectangle layer. Create clipping mask. Should look like this so far:
18. Open tube, copy and paste above previous layer. Resize as desired. Create clipping mask.
19. Duplicate tube layer, do not create clipping mask with this one. Use your eraser tool to erase any part of the tube that hangs over the bottom.
20. On the right side, I placed these elements (below the duplicated tube layer):
BU_Mask2, resized 50%
BU_Crab, resized 25%
21. On the left side, I placed these elements (below the duplicated tube layer):
BU_Surfboard2, resized 80%
BU_Slice1, resized 25%
BU_SkullyLilly3, resized 25%
BU_SkullyLilly2, resized 25%
starfishs, resized 75%
flower, resized 25%
cocktail 1, resized 20%
22. Add name above all other layers. I used Sverige Script Decorated, size 72 #fe1ec0, with 2px stroke white.
23. Add drop shadow to all elements if desired.
24. Open pp021, resize 600 x 600 px, copy and paste to canvas.
25. Drag previous layer all the way to the bottom of layers. Add mask of choice (I used EMB_Mask2_ByElla) to layer {Press "Q" while on layer to enter quickmask selection, copy mask and paste, resize to fit canvas (Ctrl-T and then drag each side to edge of canvas, press enter to accept selection), Press "Q" again, then click on the button at the bottom of the layers that is a rectangle with a circle in the middle. Resize as desired and use eraser tool around edges.
26. Be sure to delete white background layer before saving.
27. Add your watermark, save as .png and you are finished!
*Note* I always save my tags as a .psd file in case I make mistakes and to offer to others.

PTU Summertime tutorial
Supplies
Kit: The gorgeous PTU kit Tropical Paradise by Karra's Kreative Korner
Tube: Ashley by Ellie Milk available at Pics For Design
Mask: ddspar10 by Sharon available here, or mask of choice
Template: BP_template19 by BeckyP available here
Font: Helena Script ES or font of choice
Program of choice (this tutorial was written specifically for Photoshop users)
Don't forget to save frequently!
1. Open template, change resolution to 72 ppi and resize to 475 x 475 px (Alt+Ctrl+I). Change canvas size to 600 x 600 px (Alt+Ctrl+C).
2. Delete the credits, sun and all flower layers.
3. Open KK_net, resize 75%, copy and paste to canvas above white background layer. Position on the right side.
4. Open KK_sand, copy and paste to canvas above previous layer. Position at the bottom of canvas.
5. Open KK_sun, resize 50%, copy and paste to canvas above previous layer. Position in the top left.
6. Delete lg.light gray circle, shadow, circle 2bg, circle 2, shadow and circle 1 bg layers. (everything from previous layer up to circle 1 layer.
7. Open kkpaper4, copy and paste to canvas above circle 1 layer. Create clipping mask (right-click layer and select "Create Clipping Mask").
8. Open KK_tall grass, resize 50%, copy and paste to canvas above previous layer. Position in the top left.
9. Open KK_frame1, resize 75%, copy and paste to canvas above previous layer. Position over circle.
10. Open KK_fern, resize 75%, copy and paste to canvas above previous layer. Position on right side.
11. Open kkpaper7, copy and paste to canvas above raster 1 layer. Create clipping mask (right-click layer and select "Create Clipping Mask").
12. Paste tube close-up above previous layer, reposition and resize as desired. Create clipping mask. Change blending mode to "Pin Light".
13. Delete shadow, frame bg and frame layers.
14. Open KK_frame4, resize 60%, copy and paste to canvas above previous layer. Position on right side and rotate to cover Raster 1 layer.
15. On the left side, I placed these elements:
KK_palm tree1, resized 75%
KK_tiki table, resized 50%
KK_cocktail, resized 15%
16. On the right side, I placed these elements:
KK_flower branch, resized 50%
KK_hibiscus2, resized 35%
KK_hibiscus1, resized 30%
KK_flower1, resized 15%
KK_flower4, resized 25%
KK_grapes, resized 25%
KK_pineapple, resized 25%
KK_coconut, resized 20%
17. Open KK_sparkles, resize 75%, flip image horizontally. Copy and paste to canvas, reposition as desired.
18. Select all the layers of the wordart and reposition as shown.
19. Paste full version of desired tube to canvas above Sparkles layer. Resized and position as desired.
20. Open kkpaper1, copy and paste to canvas above Summer layer. Create clipping mask.
21. Open kkpaper11, copy and paste to canvas above Time layer. Create clipping mask.
22. Add name. I used Helena Script ES 125 pt (may need to be smaller depending on length of name) #fef441 with 2px stroke #66d7ee.
23. Add drop shadow to layers if desired.
24. Open kkpaper1, copy and paste to canvas.
25. Drag previous layer all the way to the bottom. Add mask (I used ddspar10 by Sharon) to layer {Press "Q" while on layer to enter quickmask selection, copy mask and paste, resize to fit canvas (Ctrl-T and then drag each side to edge of canvas, press enter to accept selection), Press "Q" again, then click on the button at the bottom of the layers that is a rectangle with a circle in the middle. Resize as desired.
26. Be sure to delete background layer before saving.
27. Add your watermark, save as .png and you are finished!

PTU A Gothic Obsession forum set tutorial
Supplies
Kit: The gorgeous PTU kit Gothic Obsessions by Crystal's Creations available at Artistic Reality Talent
Tube: Nana by Virgo available at Pics For Design
Template: Forum Set Template 1 by Me! available here!
Fonts: Angelic War or font of choice
Program of choice (this tutorial was written specifically for Photoshop users)
Don't forget to save frequently! *Note I didn't put how much I resized elements, since you might want to play with the sizes.
1. Open THD_ForumSetBanner template, change canvas size to 599w x 425h px (Alt+Ctrl+C).
2. Delete Info layer.
3. Select remaining layers and down slightly, your canvas should look like this (click to see larger image):
4. Open paper 1, resize to 600 x 600 px. Copy and paste to canvas above blue circle 2. Create clipping mask. (Right-click layer and select "Create Clipping Mask".)
5. Open tube, copy and paste to canvas above previous layer, position on the right side. Create clipping mask. Change blending mode to "Soft Light".
6. Duplicate layer and position on the left side. Flip Horizontally (Edit->Transform->Flip Horizontal). Create clipping mask.
7. Open gothic e24, copy and paste to canvas above Previous layer. Position on the left. Create clipping mask.
8. Duplicate layer and position on the right side. Create clipping mask.
9. On the right side, I placed these elements in this order and resized each as shown. Create clipping mask after each one:
gothic e40, duplicated once
gothic e34, duplicate and select "overlay" blend mode then merge down
Duplicate above layer 3 times
gothic e17, duplicated once
gothic e4
gothic e11
gothic e7, duplcate layer and select "Overlay" blend mode
gothic e9
gothic e40
gothic e27
gothic e35
gothic e28
10. When positioned as desired, merge the layers in step 9.
11. Open gothic e36, copy and paste to canvas. Create clipping mask.
12. Duplicate layer with cluster of elements, flip horizontally and position on the right side.
13. Change the color of the frames if desired. You can use a paper or flood fill a layer and create clipping mask, or you can use a color overlay (in the layer styles).
14. Open tube, resize so it fits canvas, no larger than 420 px in height. Copy and paste to canvas. Position as desired.
15. Add name. I used Angelic War 72 pt black with 2px stroke #780000 (blend mode of stroke set to "Hard Light").
16. Add drop shadow to layers if desired.
17. Add your watermark, save as .png and you are finished with the banner!
Avi (very easy once banner is completed)
1. Open THD_ForumSetAvi Template.
2. Select these layers from the banner: both background layers and one of the clusters.
3. With two background layers selected, resize to fit (Ctrl+T, lock aspect ratio and drag inwards at corner)
4. Select cluster layer and resize as shown (Click for larger view):
5. Open tube again resize as desired and copy and paste to canvas.
6. Make sure all above layers are below frame layers.
7. Add initial, I used Angelic War 85 pt black with 2px stroke #780000.
8. Add your watermark, save as .png and you are finished with the avi!
*Note* I always save my tags as a .psd file in case I make mistakes and to offer to others.

PTU Rainbow Forum Set
Supplies

Program of choice (this tutorial was written specifically for Photoshop users)
Don't forget to save frequently! I hope the screenshots help, this is my first time using them in a tutorial!
1. Open template, change canvas size to 550x300 px (Alt+Ctrl+C). Select all layers and reposition so that layers touch bottom of canvas.
2. Delete creditlayer.
3. Open KKpaper2, copy and paste above gradbkgr layer. Create clipping mask (right click on paper layer and select "Create Clipping Mask".)
4. Delete the following layers: band2, band1, dotsdown, bottomband, topband, dotsacross, cloverbk-2, CloverFrame-2.
5. Open tube, copy and paste above paper and create clipping mask. Change blend mode to overlay.
6. Select cloverbk-1 and CloverFrame-1 layers, move down slightly so that clover is not visible above rest of template.
7. Select cloverbk-1 layer, copy and paste tube above this layer and create clipping mask. Change blend mode to color burn.
8. Select CloverFrame-1 layer. Open KKpaper6, resize 60%. Copy and paste above layer and create clipping mask.
9. Delete smclovers and f2 layers.
10. Place the following elements in the bottom left corner as shown in this order:
KK_clover1 resized 25%, duplicated a few times
KK_button2 resized 25%, duplicated once
KK_button1 resized 20%, duplicated once
KK_flower2 resized 20%
KK_flower3 resized 25%, duplicate twice
KK_flower1 resized 25%
KK_flower2 resized 20%, duplicated once
KK_flower3 resized 25%
11. Place the following elements in the bottom right corner as shown in this order:
KK_gold coins resized 40%
KK_rainbow resized 65% (this will be in the upper right)
KK_sparkles resized 50%
KK_pot of gold resized 40%
12. Change blend mode of Rainbow layer to Pin Light with 75% Opacity. Use Rectangular marquee tool to select part of rainbow that shows above template and delete.
13. Copy and paste tube resized as desired above the pot of gold layer. Duplicate and drag layer above all other layers. Erase bottom of this layer so that the frame shows.
14. Duplicate this layer, change blend mode to Hard Light with 50% Opacity. Do the same for the other tube layer that is below the frame.
15. Open KK_wordart3, resize 50%. Copy and paste in lower right corner below f3 layer.
16. Open KK_string, resize 90%. Copy and paste to canvas and position along top of template.
17. Duplicate string layer and drag layer above f1 layer. Erase part of the string that covers the right side of frame.
18. Open KKpaper11, copy and paste above f3 layer and create clipping mask.
19. Open KKpaper13, copy and paste above f1 layer and create clipping mask.
20. Add name. I used Mael font 36 pt (48 pt for first letter), bevel and emboss, and stroke 2 white with one letter per layer in different colors to match the tag.
21. Add drop shadow to all layers except sparkles layer, tube layers, f1 layer and ribbon layers.
22. Be sure to delete white background layer before saving.
23. Add your watermark, save as .png and you are finished with the banner.
Avatar
1. Open avatar template.
2. Delete creditlayer, cloverbk and cloverframe layers.
3. Open KKpaper2, copy and paste above gradbk layer. Create clipping mask (right click on paper layer and select "Create Clipping Mask".)
4. Open tube , resize as desired. Copy and paste to canvas and change blend mode to overlay
5. Place the following elements in the bottom left corner as shown in this order:
KK_clover1 resized 20%, duplicated once
KK_button2 resized 25%
KK_flower3 resized 15%
KK_flower2 resized 20%
KK_flower3 resized 15%
KK_flower1 resized 20%
KK_flower2 resized 20%, duplicated once
KK_flower3 resized 15%
6. Place the following elements in the bottom right corner as shown in this order:
KK_rainbow resized 50% (this will be in the upper right)
KK_sparkles resized 40%
KK_pot of gold resized 30%
7. Change blend mode of Rainbow layer to Pin Light with 75% Opacity. Use Rectangular marquee tool to select part of rainbow that shows above template and delete.
8. Copy and paste tube resized as desired above the pot of gold layer. Duplicate and drag layer above all other layers. Erase bottom of this layer so that the frame shows.

10. Open KKpaper11, copy and paste above f2 layer and create clipping mask.
