Blood Purple tutorial



Supplies

Kit: The gorgeous PTU kit Blood Purple by Soxsational Scraps
Tube: Devil's Bride by Alex Prihodko available at Pics For Design
Template: EI_Template111_pooker available here
Mask: StaciMisfitHalloweenMask2 available here, or mask of choice
Font: Pea Aimee available here, or font of choice
Program of choice (this tutorial was written specifically for Photoshop users)

Don't forget to save frequently!

1. Open template, change image size to 575 x 575 px. (Alt+Ctrl+I)

2. Resize canvas to 600 x 600 px. (Alt+Ctrl+C)

3. Delete Cr Info layer.

4. Open TW-Blood Purple-Wire, resize 90%. Paste above Raster 1 layer (at bottom).

5. Open TW-Blood Purple-Flower2, resize 75%. Paste above previous layer, rotate slightly and position on the lower left of canvas.

6. Open TW-Blood Purple-Paper2, resize to 600 x 600 px, copy and paste to canvas above Black Circle 2 layer.  Create clipping mask. (Right-click layer and select "Create Clipping Mask".)

7. Open TW-Blood Purple-Paper12, resize to 600 x 600 px, copy and paste to canvas above Black Circle 1 layer.  Create clipping mask.

8. Paste paper again above Grey Circle2, create clipping mask.

9. Open TW-Blood Purple-Paper2, resize to 600 x 600 px, copy and paste to canvas above Grey Circle1 layer.  Create clipping mask.

10. Open TW-Blood Purple-Paper1, resize to 600 x 600 px, copy and paste to canvas above Orange Rectangle layer.  Create clipping mask. Flip paper layer horitontally. (Edit->Transform->Flip Horizontal)

11. Open TW-Blood Purple-Paper8, resize to 600 x 600 px, copy and paste to canvas above White Circle layer.  Create clipping mask.

12. TW-Blood Purple-Paper10, resize to 600 x 600 px, copy and paste to canvas above Orange Rectangle layer.  Create clipping mask.

13. Create new layer above White Dotted Rectangle layer, flood fill with #e302ea, create clipping mask.

14. Repeat step 13 for Orange Dotted Frame layer.

15. Delete Mini Orange Circle layer.

16. Open TW-Blood Purple-Bats, resize 90%, paste above Black Lines layer. Position as desired.

17. Delete Mini Orange Circles layer.

18. Open TW-Blood Purple-Chain, resize 50%, paste above previous layer. Position on right side.

19. Open TW-Blood Purple-Bow2, resize 50%, paste above previous layer. Position on right side, over top of the chain.

20. Open TW-Blood Purple-Paper3, resize to 600 x 600 px, copy and paste to canvas above Black Boxes layer.  Create clipping mask.

21. Open tube of choice. Paste above previous layer and position as desired. Create clipping mask. Change blend mode to "Hard Light." Repeat twice and position one in each box.

22. Open TW-Blood Purple-Bow2, resize 35%, paste above previous layer. Position on left side.

23. Create new layer above Mini Dotted Squares, fill with black. Create clipping mask.

24. Create new layer above Mini Circles, fill with black. Create clipping mask.

25. Open tube of choice, paste to canvas and resize as desired. Erase any part of the bottom of the tube that overlaps the tag.

26. On the right side, I placed these elements:

TW-Blood Purple-Cross, resized 50%, rotated slightly
TW-Blood Purple-Hearts3, resized 20%
TW-Blood Skeleton Key, resized 75%, erase bottom of key
TW-Blood Purple-Blood Vials, resized 25%
TW-Blood Purple-Skull, resized 15%
TW-Blood Purple-Candle, resized 75%
TW-Blood Purple-Flower2, resized 75%
TW-Blood Purple-Flower2, resized 50%

27. Add name. I used Pea Aimee size 115 black, with 2 px stroke #7f017b. Position on the left.

28. Add drop shadow to all elements if desired.

29. Open TW-Blood Purple-Paper7, resize 600 x 600. Drag layer to bottom of layers.

30. Add mask of choice (I used StaciMisfitHalloweenMask2) to layer {Press "Q" while on layer to enter quickmask selection, copy mask and paste, resize to fit canvas (Ctrl-T and then drag each side to edge of canvas, press enter to accept selection), Press "Q" again, then click on the button at the bottom of the layers that is a rectangle with a circle in the middle. Resize as desired and use eraser tool around edges.

31. Add your watermark, save as .png and you are finished!



*Note* I always save my tags as a .psd file in case I make mistakes and to offer to others.
